The Flymarket is a place where you can turn your excess aviation-related surplus into cash. Anyone may consign one or more items at the Flymarket. The following rules will apply.
The items must be identified by the consignor with the consignor's name and the price. Tags and a limited quantity of removable gummed labels will be supplied by the Virginia Aviation Council. The consignor has the option to decline to accept checks. In that case, each tag must be clearly labeled as "cash only".
Credit/debit card payments are not accepted.
Price determination shall be the sole responsiblity of the consignor.
The item tags will constitute the record of material that has been consigned to the Virginia Aviation Council.
The Virginia Aviation Council and its volunteers will make every effort to provide security for the items being sold; however, the consignor must agree that neither the Virginia Aviation Council nor its volunteers will be responsible for any item that is lost or stolen.
All sales will be where-is and as-is.
Neither the Virginia Aviation Council nor its volunteers will provide any warrenty for any item sold.
Neither the Virginia Aviation Council nor its volunteers will have any right of negotiation between the consignorand a potential purchaser.
The Virginia Aviation Council will collect the funds for all transactions. A 10 percent donation to Virginia Aviation Council from all sales is requested.
Any consignor may check out (collect any payment and/or unsold items) at any time prior to 6PM on Saturday. There will be no check out between 6PM Saturday and approximately 10AM on Sunday without prior arrangements.
Any consignor who fails to check out prior to 4PM on Sunday will receive their payment by check. A $5.00 fee will be charged for this service.
The consignor must present some type of photo-id when checking out.
Any unsold items that are not picked up by 4PM on Sunday shall become the property of the Virginia Aviation Council.
Vehicles are not allowed on Vendor's Row between 8AM and 6PM. Items that are too heavy to carry should be delivered prior to 8AM.
