Rally Adventure 2013

Welcome to Rally Adventure. This is a timed event around a designated course. It is open to Homebuilt , Light Sport, and Standard certified single-engine aircraft. Homebuilt and light sport fly in one event and Standard certified-fly in another event.

The mission of Rally Adventure is to conduct an event for pilots to hone their flying skills and enhance their ability to go to a higher level of flying with emphasis on excitement and rewards.

Course

1. Triangle course - 60 nm. Start at SFQ. AKQ. FKN.-finish SFQ.
2. Final course will be determined at briefing.
3. Starting time - 09:00
4. Each aircraft will start separately at 30 sec. intervals.
5. Mininum altitude is 1500 ft. msl. Day VFR rules apply.
6. Contact scoring person at the turning points with your Rally number.
7. Cross finish line no lower than 1500 ft.msl.
8. Depart the airport area and enter normal traffic flow for landing.
9. Check back in at Rally tent after parking aircraft.

RULES

1. Entries are limited to 25 aircraft in each class.
2. All aircraft must display their assigned number.
3. All aircraft must have a working radio.
4. All aircraft must have enough fuel on board to fly 1.5 hrs. at max. cruise power setting plus day VFR reserve.
5. All aircraft must comply with applicable FARs.
6. All pilots must hold at least a sport pilot certificate.
7. Any pilot or aircraft deemed unsafe by Rally officials will be disqualified.
8. All aircraft must finish the Rally in 1.5 hours or less.
9. Entries are limited to reciprocating single-engine aircraft with less than 551hp.

K	0-50hp.	KC	0-50hp.

REGISTRATION

Pre-register online or on field. Field registration will open Saturday May 4, 2013 at 0900 and will close Sunday May 5 at 0815. Registration forms available on rally adventure web page.

ENTRY FEE

The entry fee of $10 can be paid on the field at check-in Sunday in cash or check, made payable to Virginia Aviation Council.

CHECK-IN

Event Check-in: 0800 to 0845 May 5, 2013 at the Rally Tent in front of terminal building.

PILOT BRIEFING

Pilot Briefing: 0845 to 0900 at the Rally Tent

**It is mandatory for all pilots to attend the pilot briefing prior to flying in the event.**
